Breast Enlargement with Breast Augmentation in New York

Breast Augmentation

Breast enlargement through breast augmentation enhances the appearance of the breasts by placing implants under the patient’s breast tissue and or below the pectoral (chest) muscle. The skilled and experienced breast surgeons at Allure Plastic Surgery will take as much time as needed to determine which procedure will deliver the results you desire during your consultation.

Dr. Heller, Dr. Cuber, and Dr. Sewell specialize in body and breast surgery, and they dedicate their time to breast augmentation, breast reduction, and body sculpting in New York. They cumulatively have more than 50 years of experience, and they have performed thousands of breast surgeries. This allows our surgeons to be comfortable with the latest techniques to give you the best result possible.

Thorough Analysis of not only the breasts, but also their relation to the rest of the body is extremely important. Dr. Heller, Dr. Cuber, and Dr. Sewell take precise measurements to aid in proper analysis. It could be that your breasts are small to begin with, and simple symmetric enlargement will provide the enhancement you had in mind. Some patients have asymmetry, and therefore, need to be enlarged and made equal in size. This requires the estimation of an experienced surgeon and precise measurement. It’s common for sagging to occur after childbirth or weight loss; combining breast implants with a lift does wonders for restoration of fullness and shape.

The Breast Implant Types include saline (salt-water) filled or silicone (gel) filled. The silicone gel implants are FDA approved and have passed extensive testing. The Silicone gel has been cross-linked making it more cohesive. When it comes to the benefits of each type of implant, silicone has a higher rate of patient satisfaction because it has a more natural feel. However, saline implants require a smaller incision, which is sometimes desired more.

Inframammary incision – this incision is placed under the breast in the inframammary fold (natural crease beneath the breast.) The implant is inserted through a one to one and a half inch long incision. This approach is the most common and scarring is typically unnoticeable and easily hidden by a bra or swimsuit top.

Areolar incision – the goal of this approach is to hide the incision in the transition from the dark and textured skin of the areola and the lighter smooth skin of the breast. When performed by a skilled surgeon, signs of this incision can be difficult to identify.

Axillary incision – a small incision is created under the muscle in the fold of each armpit. The breast implant is inserted through a channel into a pocket created by the surgeon and heals extremely well.

TUBA (trans umbilical breast augmentation)- a hidden incision concealed under the prominent lip of the belly button leaves no scarring near the breast itself. A tunnel is created beneath the subcutaneous fat layer through which the implant is inserted into the breast cavity.

Dual plane breast augmentation is an ideal technique for patients suffering from minor amounts of droopiness and desire a lifted appearance but don’t want to go through a breast lift procedure. During this procedure, a surgeon places the implant partially beneath the muscle and partially beneath the breast tissue. The effect is a lift to the breast along with added fullness eliminating the need for a breast lift (and the incisions that go with it).

Breast enlargement with fat transfer is more popular now than ever thanks to technological advancements in fat survival. We can harvest unwanted fat from any area of the body, such as belly, hips, thighs, arms, and legs. Then  we transfer this fat to your breasts for up to one full cup size of increased fullness. Fat transfer using the micro-cannula technique yields high satisfaction rates for patients who are not comfortable with getting breast implants.

The surgeries are performed in one of our accredited surgery centers in New York under closely monitored IV sedation or general anesthesia. You will be discharged and free to return home the same day of your procedure with a bandage and wrap or sports bra in place. Some tenderness, swelling, and bruising are expected. Prescribed muscle relaxants, pain killers, and antibiotics help to make the healing process as comfortable as possible. The breasts will fall nicely into a natural position as time passes. Most patients are advised to avoid strenuous activity for two to three weeks.
