Dr. Julie Miller, MD, PhD

Biography

Dr. Julie Miller is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized expertise in eyelid surgery and oculoplastic procedures. She holds both an MD and a PhD from Tulane University School of Medicine, a pairing that gives her both clinical skill and research depth.

Education and Training

Dr. Miller was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. She pursued a combined MD/PhD program at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, one of the most demanding paths in medical education. After earning both degrees, she completed an internship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, then returned to New York City for ophthalmology residency at the Harkness Eye Institute of Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.

At Columbia, Dr. Miller trained under leaders in ophthalmology, including the inventor of the laser used in refractive surgery. She handled hundreds of complex ophthalmic cases that most eye surgeons never see in a full career. That experience built the precision she brings to eyelid and periorbital procedures today.

Eyelid Surgery Expertise

Dr. Miller's practice at Allure Plastic Surgery focuses on procedures where ophthalmologic training provides a critical advantage over general cosmetic approaches:
